I think the title of this post pretty much sums up my outfit for today. I bought this dress to the chagrine of my younger sister who believed that this dress was too extravagant to be worn anywhere. But i caught a glimpse of the dress and fell in love. The meticulous beading, the extravagant sequins, in theory make quite an excessive combination and usually i would run from such a combo, but since i'm blinded by love this dress is absolutely fabulous .To tone down the glitzyness of this dress, being that i am going to work, i kept my accesories to a minimum and wore dark colors too.
I'm off to work for a bit, then i get to leave early (yay!) and go frolicking w/ my siblings.

What i wore:
Beret ( "borrowed" from the Manfriend)
Dress (Vintage)
Tights (Target)
Sweater (Proenza Schouler)
Shoes (Bakers)

Its still raining today. Which is good thing because Ga still needs all the rain it can get. And i wasn't bothered because i had my trusty boots to keep me safe from puddles. I have the day off work today, which accounts for my miniskirt peeking out from my large and cozy sweater. I'm off to find adventure!!
Jacket (F21)
Sweater (Thrifted)
Mini Skirt (F21)
Tights (Target)
Boots(Chinese Laundry)

I have a very sad and embarassing confession to make.
I hope my readers are not to disappointed but.... I forgot about the Nigerian Independence day...until today. (*i'm bowing my head in shame*)
The really bad thing is, it was over a month ago...on October 1st. How could i not have realized that my country of origin turned 48 and i missed it, and didn't even realize it till a month later. Bad, Bad, Bad!
But I say better late than never.
**Happy Birthday Nigeria!!!**
This is for you!!
This is what i wore:
Sweater (Isaac Mizrahi)
Necklace (Target)
Jeans (Express)
Gold Bracelet (F21)
Beaded Bracelet (Made for me by the manfriend...it never leaves my wrist)

I'm having another one of those days where nothing in my closet feels right, so again, i run into the arms of a dress. Click here for how i wore it last, when it was much warmer. And here it is all layered up for the winter weather:
this is what i wore:

Dress (Max Rave)
Blue Sweater(Macys)
Green Beret(Borrowed from the Manfriend)

White Shirts are the backbone of my closet, so i'm always trying to come up with ways to spice up the basic white and black ensembles that i so frequently gravitate to on busy days. This is what i wore:

Happy Monday Folks!
I’m having a pretty good Monday today, maybe due to adequate planning…from my outfit to my lunch, I didn’t even grumble or try to kill my alarm when it went off this morning. It’s probably the excitement from the cool weather, which means I get to wear my beautiful jacket, which I named the S.S Fabulosa ( I know that’s a name more befitting of a boat than a jacket, but it’s a reminder of the boat I will one day own.) So unto the rest of my outfit…the beret, actually belongs to my Manfriend, I “borrowed” it from his closet a while ago, he says it’s a remnant of his “stylish” boyhood days. The feather brooch is mine, added to “glam up” the rest of my basic office-wear.
This is what I wore:
Jacket ( Urban Behavior)
Shirt (New York and Co)
Slacks (Papaya)
Green Pumps (Bakers)
Beret (“Borrowed”)
Feather Brooch (Thrifted)
