I've been missing my traditional clothes because the coldness has made it impossible for me to think of anything other than bundling up in thick layers. I pulled out one of my traditional long skirts and decided to rock that to church..and pretty much the rest of the day.

If there was a right time to wear silver lace. I think today is the day.Being that its still holiday season, and today is the day before New Year's Eve, i figure its too early to break out the sequins and beading, but i still wanted to shine a bit. Hence, the silver skirt.

I found this strange but interesting skirt while thrifting on my lunch break a few weeks ago. It looked so out of place seating amidst numerous black and brown skirts. It seemed to be saying to me, "Take me home w/ you. You look like you could use a silver and lace skirt" and i thought to myself, "You know, i can use a silver skirt... i think i will take you home".

What i wore:
Black turtle neck (Macys)
Lace Skirt (Vintage)
Tights (layered -target)
Shoes (Bakers)
Necklace (Me!!)

Yes i'm dancing...i can't help myself...

* i promise i was not trying to look smug, or channel the chin stroking Godfather as i did in the last pic. I was going for a "serious" look.
Its pink and black again today and no face pics on account of the fact that i was upset when the pics were taken. And the fact that i morph into this monster when i get upset: Swollen face, red eyes, the whole shebang...lol. But i'm seemingly better now, hoping that all will work itself out in God's time.
Unto more cheerful or lighter subjects, my outfit. I've layered a summer halter top over a turtle neck and wore pink tights to accentuate the pink in the top. Whoo!! for getting mileage out of summer clothes...I do feel like i should have chosen different shoes though...what do you lovely readers think?

Rainy Days!
Rain, Rain go away, come again another day,
little children want to play,
Rain, rain go away.....

But since Ga really needs the rainfall, what with the drought we've got going on,

Let it rain!

Its pouring outside, and thankfully, i anticipated it and dressed for the weather(kinda). So once again, i had something planned, and then last night, i changed my mind.(kinda makes you wonder why i keep "planning" doesn't it). i changed my outfit into something a bit more interesting and vibrant!! to help me beat the dreary, rainy day ahead. It's worked so far! I love this blue...definitely intense, and improves my mood...i was kinda iffy about wearing my scarf to work, but since i'd lent my sister my umbrellla ; after class on my way to my car, i was completely drenched. So, i decided to wear the scarf to work as well...it went over pretty well being that its a pretty casual evironment, so as long as we donot wear jeans mon-thurs, we're usually ok. This is what i wore:
Black Turtle Neck top-(Macys)
Blue Dress-(Forever 21)
Black tights-(Target)
Boots-(Payless)
Brown Bag-(Target)
Scarf-(Thrifted)
