There's a quirky charm in polka dots that i kinda dig which is why it didn't take me long to decided on whether or not i needed another polka dotted skirt among other things from H & M. I broke down and decided to get it because everyone needs a polka dotted skirt right?
I kept the outfit super simple because, i wanted the polka dots to pop during their first exposure. I definitely can't wait to play around with this skirt in the coming months.

Happy Monday!!!
It was sunny but sooo cold this weekend. I braved this outfit out for lunch with my siblings because it was a Very quick walk to my car. My top is a leopard print dress tucked in loosely on the sides. Still rocking my "1950s' style retro shades which happens to kinda match my dress as its leopard print too.

This is what i wore to school. As you can see, i'm glistening not sweating from the ridiculous heat (because ladies don't sweat). After the photoshoot, my graceful photographer(my sis) and i stopped for yogurt and toffee, which was surprisingly good. Surprising to me because i'm a complete and total chocoholic, and usually don't like any flavors except chocolate(read: i'm a complete and total chocoholic).

I'm getting a bit excited about the next upcoming weeks. The Atlanta Fashion Week for 2009 is coming up in a few weeks. I can't wait to see what the atlanta designers have been working on. I can't even imagine how excited i would be if i got to go. On that oh so subtle note, if anyone needs someone to accompany them to Atlanta Fashion Week, i wouldn't mind going at all...lol. *ahem* moving on...
This is what i wore to school after sleeping in late and going thru the exhausting task of trying to get a new phone (it got soaked beyond repair during a trip to the lake). Don't know what possessed me to wear black as the heat is ridiculously sweltering right now. My thing for florals is still thriving,(see floral jacket below) so i'm loving F21's current selection of floral skirts. And although there's no red in the skirt, somehow, the red flower and red shoes seem right paired with this outfit. I love the summer time.

This is an outfit from last week. I got a bit swamped with school work and my crazy schedule and did not get a chance to post it. At a quick glance, it looks like a dress, but its actually a tunic top worn over a hiked skirt. Plus,it gives my necklace a chance to shine.
The top is a few sizes too big, but i couldn't pass up the chance to quietly show off my money makers: My shoulders. Very subtle.

I 've gone so long without wearing navy, and now it seems like for the past few days, most of my outfits consist of it in some way. Today, I'm wearing black and navy, so its almost an all-black monday ensemble, but not quite. I've wanted to try the black-navy blue combination for a while but i was kind of hesitant at first because black and navy are such dark hues especially when worn together. But with the red highlights, i like how it turned out.

The weather in Ga has been absolutely gorgeous these last few days and so i figured this was the right time to break out the shorty short dresses, as well as my afro. I love the freedom that comes with rocking my fro.i don't have to worry about the wind messing it up during car rides and things like that. My only problem is that i'm extremely lazy when it comes to my hair, and i always run out of cute things to do with my it. I'm going to make more of an effort this summer. But today's theme was to be carefree, i think i accomplished that.

I'm back to my usual "All Black Mondays" and today, the all black attire actually matches my glum mood. In an attempt to lift my spirits, i stuck a red flower in my hair and wore red heels, i'm hoping it works.

What i wore:
Blazer (Sisley- thrifted)
Sheer Shirt ( thrifted)
Pants( Victoria's Secret)
Shoes (Joey O)
Bag (Franchesca's Boutique)
Flower ( Target)

When I got to work i was told that i channeling this beautiful songstress, who made florals (white gardenias) in her hair, her signature.

I'm wearing one of my nigerian native outfits in its entirety. The last time, i wore just the bottom piece. Click here to see how i wore just the bottom. Today i've got on top and bottom, and my favorite black blazer to give it a bit of office-appropriate sophistication.

I walked into the office this afternoon, and to my happy surprise, the office was decorated in colorful X-mas decorations. There seems to be a palpable excitement in the air. Is it just me, or do people seem happier at this time of year? People seem nicer, more at ease and even more jovial. And i have to say i really love it.

Hopefully, i will be attending a holiday party tonight. I say hopefully because lately, i'm really tired when i get home at the end of the day. So when i make plans to go out later in the evening (after work), i end up sleeping right thru numerous alarms and phone calls to wake up and go out. I 'm glad i have understanding friends and family who have not given up on me even though it seems i have a problem staying awake after 11pm. Again, hopefully history does not repeat itself.

This is what i wore:
Native Atire (Custom-Made)
Blazer (Thrifted)
Shoes (Joey O)
