Warm weather where are you???
I'm tired of layering and layering some more to keep warm. I seem to have run out of steam... maybe its the weather, or school or never feeling like I've slept enough or maybe i'm just ready for spring break....its probably a combination of all of those things.
Anyway, I've decided that since i'm eagerly anticipating the arrival of spring's warmth,I've decided to just start getting myself ready for spring, regardless of the weather. I've started by unpacking my shorts and decided to wear this pair since they haven't graced the blog yet.

When i left home, i was immediately reminded that as much as i wanted it to be springtime, its still winter.... Thankfully, i did warm up after a few minutes of jumping...

Running around at school and camping out in the library.Goofing off with my sister between classes. Some of the best things in life are simple.

Today was one of those days that looked like you could run outside in your shortest skirt. You would have frozen your knees off. I nearly caught frostbite while taking these pics.
If you look a little closely, you'll notice the bow in my hair matches my shirt. Somedays i'm a little matchy-matchy.

I think we all enjoy life a little more if we try not to sweat the small stuff. And i Really need to practice what i preach as most of the time i'm a first class worrier. I'm trying to worry less, case in point, my dress. It bothered me that the dress looks unfinished as i never hemmed it after i chopped off 1/4 of it. It'll get done one of these days, but for now, i'm just going to continue to enjoy the crispness in the air, and the swishyness of this dress.

This is one of my favorite outfits because of so many reasons.Like the easy layering, my favorite(and only)shrug and my favorite jacket and favorite ankle boots. With so many favorite articles in one outfit, how can i not love it. Exactly, its practically impossible. The theme of the day was layered comfortability. Perfect for an easy but cold day going to school, running a few errands, grabbing dinner and a movie with my sisters.

I rarely post pics of myself when i go out in party gear because of 2 reasons:
1) i usually decide to go out at the last min,so i never remember to take pics
2) i usually just throw on shorts, a tank and heels... i like it super simple and to me those outfits are not really blog worthy
But this past weekend, i made plans w/ some friends to meet up after work for drinks and dancing. So i broke out my current favorite outfit aka the romper and threw a skirt on over it for a corset look. The jacket was for work, and was thrown off when it was time to dance.
Hi i'm Diane and i kill favorite clothes by wearing them to death. Sharing is caring.

Welcome to another edition of my black monday ensembles. This time there's no bursts of color, just the black palette. It gave me chance to show off the scarf that one of my coworkers gave me just for being AWESOME! I joke. I'm thankful to be surrounded by mostly kind coworkers. This particular coworker so kindly brought this scarf back for me from her trip to New York (Thank you Ms. Susie!!)

Literally. I’m trying to stay on top of 3 pending midterms, one tomorrow, Saturday (Boo!! Hiss!!) and the remaining 2 will be within the next 2 days; and i'm trying to stay atop of this random pedestal that I’ve always wanted to climb on top of. There's supposed to be really nice(read: spring-like) weather this weekend, but it seems i'm to spend it cooped up inside studing. I suppose i could try to study outside, but i've tried that before and ended up in a cartwheels competition with my sisters. I'm quite easily distracted whenever i'm supposed to be studying.

Whenever it gets just a little bit warmer, I usually hope that the worst of the winter weather is over that we have nice spring days ahead. I usually dress the part too(springy floral shirt-Check, lightweight cardi- check!). Until I walk outside and I’m jarred back to reality by the icy chill of winter mornings and the cold realization that i need a coat.
O spring! Where art thou?

Ever since i publicly declared my love for sequins, i 've been finding the oddest sequined items. The item that takes the cake, at least for now, has to be this sequined argyle sweater. When i saw it, i thought to myself, "now who would be crazy enough to wear a sequined argyle sweater..." and a moment later i was trying it on. I'm trying to tone it down a bit, because i did wear it to work. Plus it was in the 20's this morning as i left home this morning so i have a thin sweater (shown folded over the sleeves) on underneath. Anyone else missing the ease and freedom of dressing in warmer weather?

What i wore:
Argyle sequinned sweater (Express)
Pants (INC)
Sweater and Coat (F21)
Pink shoes (Aerosoles)
Bag (Target)

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! This is what i wore on Friday. i was w/out a photographer on Friday and I don't have a tripod, so it was quite a task taking these pictures. My makshift tripod was my purse, and the camera was set to a 10 sec timer, and then i ran into place. Vey comical, as sometimes i ended up with shots of just my head, or my arm.

What i wore:
Jacket (F21)
Sweater (Ruff Hewn)
Jeans (F21)
Boots ( Charlotte Russe)
Scarf (Target)

Pardon me, i 'm having a grab and go day. Mondays are always difficult for me. I can never seem to find anything that fits properly. i decided that the answer to this dilemna was to do the all black thing with a pop of color. I have a back shot of my outfit because i'm wearing my shirt backwards. The pop of color came from my shoes. Anyone w/ tips for making mondays a bit less melancholy, feel free to share.

I know my post is early, but i will not be doing a post tomorrow.I do want to thank all the lovely people who stop by and especially those who take the time to comment. I know i haven't replied to comments or commented on blogs for the past few days due to the tons of last minute running around (and frolicking) that comes with the holiday season.
I will reply to the comments and i will post the diy for my necklace.
For my short stint @ work today (again leaving early due to the holidays), i 'm wearing a lovely silk floral skirt that i found yesterday. It was a little long for my taste, so i hemmed it a bit.
This is what i wore:
Coat (F21)
Skirt (Vintage)
Shirt (Target)
Tights (layered -both from target)
Shoes (Nine West)

Merry Christmas Everyone!!
It was very cold on Saturday. So as usual, the attire i deemed appropriate for the day's cold weather was a mini dress. And tights, layered of course. And knee high boots. Thank goodness i spent most of the day inside.
This is what i wore:
Dress (Urban Behavior)
Tights (Target)
Sweater (F21)
Coat (F21)
Boots (Chinese Laundry)

Finals are finally over, and the holidays are here...i say let the partying begin! The first party up... my company's X-mas Luncheon this afternoon.
I did find adventure yesterday. As well as these lovelies on my feet. They looked a bit intimidating at first, but i love everything about them now... i can't wait to mix them up w/ dresses and anything else i can come up with. Plus, i have to say, they're pretty comfortable. I will give the final verdict after tonight. I'll be testing them as i dance the night (and stress) away! What i wore:
Scarf (Target)
Coat (F21)
Jeans (F21)
T-shirt (Target)
Shoes (Bakers)
