This was my outfit for my first day back to school. And i spent 11hours... yes 11 hours at school.Sigh... and that's how my mondays will go from now on. Don't worry, to counter the seriousness of school, i'll be going to an art cafe to hang out from now on.
Its funny, i spent a lot of time, with so much to do. Always on the go, either to classes or to work. Now i have a little more time and i'm at a loss for what to do with myself... i'm definitely going to enjoy it though.
As for my outfit...11 hours. Nuff said. I had to be extremely comfy. And my coat is another purchase from TJMaxx.

I decided to gussy up for the first day of the new year. I brought out a dress that i bought for the spring and winterized it for today. Lots of layers in this outfit even though it can't be seen. For example, i've taken to wearing tights and socks with all my outfits, as opposed to 2 tights like i used to do. I like this method better...i'm just as warm but more comfortable.
I'm excited for the new start...big things to come this year guys... i just know it!!

I hope everyone (more so my U.S readers) had a safe and fun Thanksgiving Holiday. Its the day after Thanksgiving and my heart is light but the rest of me is not. I definitely ate alot, and danced my heart out so i am incredibly tired this morning. So i definitely needed an outfit that was little to no fuss and very comfy. Thankfully, the weather was just right so i've been able to get away with the shrug as my only covering for most of the day.

TGIF!!!
I'm dressed for mostly comfort today. I had tons of things to do. From an exam in the morning to running errands afterwards. I figured my sequined top would add a little sparkle, ok a lot of sparkle..lol which instantly adds a little excitement to my mood. What can i say, i'm a sucker for sequins.

Top- Express, Jeans-JLO, Boots- UrbanOg, Coat-F21

The weather was gorgeous yesterday. I couldn't resist the urge to wear a skirt and my new boots. LOVE em, because they're surprisingly comfortable. I didn't feel like switching out purses because that's how i end up getting locked out of the office...or my house...or my car..lol. Plus i'm all about random splashes of color.

Spring has finally arrived! And i cannot be anymore excited if i tried. Flowers have begun to bloom, the birds have started to sing and things seem fresher and more rejuvenated. More color is being added to nature and i can't wait to echo it in my closet as well. However, i figured i'd take my long boots for their last few spins before it gets too hot for them. I'm also debuting my new saddle bag purse. I love big purses because they allow me to bring along EVERYTHING,(essential when you don't get home till late daily) but i'm trying not to develop a back problem at 20. I think this saddle bag can help me with that.

Nothing says love like putting in a little effort simply because it will bring a smile to your loved one's face. I hope everyone's V-Day was filled with lots of reiterated love from sweethearts, friends and family. I couldn't resist wearing this simple but vibrantly red printed dress. I'll be back with more details as to what i did for my Valentine's Day.

Aside from the exam on saturday, this weekend was one the best weekends ever. Nothing spectacular, just the enjoyment of simple pleasures. The weather was gorgeous and comfortable, and so was i in one of my most comfortable dresses. I was practically in it all weekend. And while i got to spend time studying, i also got to hang with the Manfriend as well as my siblings.
Sunday was spent frolicking at the park w/ my siblings, climbing things. Things i did that i haven't done in a while:
1. Climbed jungle gym (i even got on the monkey bars)
2. Climbed and danced on a picnic table (self explanatory-see pics)
3. Workout in the woods (chasing my endlessly energetic 8-yr old brother up and down trails in the park)
I did end up taking off my blazer and leaving it in my car after 2 mins of running around. i can't wait for spring, i plan on living in this dress (ok probably not, but many others like it)

Literally. I’m trying to stay on top of 3 pending midterms, one tomorrow, Saturday (Boo!! Hiss!!) and the remaining 2 will be within the next 2 days; and i'm trying to stay atop of this random pedestal that I’ve always wanted to climb on top of. There's supposed to be really nice(read: spring-like) weather this weekend, but it seems i'm to spend it cooped up inside studing. I suppose i could try to study outside, but i've tried that before and ended up in a cartwheels competition with my sisters. I'm quite easily distracted whenever i'm supposed to be studying.

An oversize sweater paired with a black blazer and boots seem to be the right combination to beat really cold days that seem to beg for wrapping yourself in a blanket. I'm wearing my favorite oversize sweater for warmth and high cozy factor, and a blazer, that takes the ensemble from,"i'm going to chill w/ my boyfriend" to " i'm dressed down but i'm still going to the office". Topped it all off in my bright pink coat, and i was set to take on chilly winds and low temperatures.

I love celebrating. I feel like a lot of people take their lives for granted, and even worse they take the people who enrich their lives for granted. I strive to always make time to celebrate my friends and my family. Which is why I didn’t hesitate to spend my day celebrating with the Manfriend. We never got a chance to celebrate the anniversary of our 2nd year of being together because it falls during the hectic holiday season. At the Manfriend’s urging of, “better late than never”, we donned our bests and did just that.
Although we didn’t go out (it was so cold ), I decided to dress up anyway. I channeled the simple glamour of Katherine Hepburn ‘s almost slip-like dress, by wearing a vintage night gown as a dress (ensuring comfort) and tucked a flower in my hair. The Manfriend was none the wiser of my little secret(till I told him).
