I'm still figuring out the settings for my new camera. And of course, in playing with it i've managed to give this batch of photos a bluish tint. Who reads the instruction manual nowadays??
ahh technology!!
I've had this dress since i was in the 8th grade. My mom, who eerily knows me better than i know myself bought it for me, and at the time i hated it! But i held onto it, thank goodness as it was perfect for a meet and greet i attended.

Once upon a time, on a hot summer's day, a young girl asked herself while standing in front of her closet : what should i wear today??
She knew that it was blazing hot outside, so she decided to wear shorts, paired with a men's shirt. Creating equal parts cool and relaxed for traipsing thru the streets of Atlanta.

This is not the outfit my day started out in. I started the day in a simple tank (a glimpse of it can be seen in the last picture of this post)and my anthro skirt of the day( i live in anthro skirts, esp in the summer)as i'd spent the day running a few errands with my mom. On a whim, we stopped by one of my mom's favorite thrifting haunts in Norcross and while browsing thru the racks, this silk blouse caught my eye. I tried it on, fell in love and never took it off. These are my favorite kinds of shopping trips.
Anyone else love it when you walk into a store and just happen to find something that you love??

Sometimes you wanna be as girly as can be. And a little sassy too. That's when you pull out a floral dress that shows a little leg. This dress remains one of my favorite dresses in my closet...however you guys know i LOVE dresses, and usually proclaim that each dress i own is a favorite. However, I'm a little biased towards floral dresses. Like this one.

Hi Lovelies!!
i have a few things up my sleeve for the blog, one of them as the title implies; is to give you guys a guide of what i think are great stores in the area. With that out of the way, Let's go to Norcross, GA!

First store up is Charming Charlie!

The name is such an accurate description because its a Really charming store. It is an amazing accessory heaven for accessory lovers and even people like me who aren't big on accesories. Its organized by color schemes which makes it a little easier to shop for what you want, especially if you're looking for a particular accessory. And they seem to have every accessory imaginable in multiple colors. It is very neat(which i love) and the accessories are reasonably priced( i would say its similar to Forever 21 or Dot's prices but this place has a much bigger selection of accessories). One could very easily stay in there for hours and there is enough space for you to do so. The one at the Forum has a very friendly and helpful staff which is another plus.

Here's a little taste :-) And if you've been there before, PLEASE!!! tell me what you think of it

Hello Lovelies!!!
Please forgive me for being such a bad blogger. Things got VERY hectic with Exams, and i did a little last minute travelling right. But with summertime's arrival, i have to SLOWDOWN and focus on my darling blog. I have missed you guys, and i thank you soooo much for all your sweet comments and emails :-)

Now for the outfit. Its that time of year again, when the shorts come out, and there's lots of shoulders and legs exposed. I LOVE IT!!! I'm currently loving Stripes and lots of it as you can see, and i 'm dressed for supreme comfort (AKA target wedges). This is probably going to be my summertime uniform.
And i'm finally playing with my new camera from my boyfriend :-)Thanks Babe!!

Sometimes, even when you don't have time, you have to take time for yourself. I've kinda been on edge this week, just because the end of the semester is soooo close i can practically taste the freedom of not having to wake up at 6am daily...lol. Which means, right now i'm up to my eyeballs in exams...
Anyway, i felt like i had to take random breaks for myself btwn studying...whether for power napping (essential) or just dancing...just to feel sane!
And yes, i do dress up even while i'm cramming for exams. I'm a staunch believer of Look Good, Feel Good, Do Great!!

Hey you guys!!!
I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! I spent mine trying to study for upcoming finals. I took a break from was trying to study *cough* not really *cough* when i saw these amazing designs from Tanzanian born designer Christine Mhando. According to her site, her goal is to keep things fresh while not being too trendy.
The designs are really fun and cool and are a glamorous mishmash of vibrant colors and textures that shouldn't make sense but do so beautifully.
I want one!!
I know its Monday, and its dreary especially if you're in Atlanta, but these dresses are not.
Enjoy!

I've been in black and white most of this week, even though i didn't get a chance to get any pics for the blog. Life's been kinda hectic. I'm wearing this zig zag AA dress, paired with my current favorite anthro skirt as i do go to school in downtown Atlanta. lol.
I really like how this outfit came together. Oh, and the skirt is Navy and looks like a Skort... even though its not.
