Summer Basics

Hello Lovelies!!!
Please forgive me for being such a bad blogger. Things got VERY hectic with Exams, and i did a little last minute travelling right. But with summertime's arrival, i have to SLOWDOWN and focus on my darling blog. I have missed you guys, and i thank you soooo much for all your sweet comments and emails :-)

Now for the outfit. Its that time of year again, when the shorts come out, and there's lots of shoulders and legs exposed. I LOVE IT!!! I'm currently loving Stripes and lots of it as you can see, and i 'm dressed for supreme comfort (AKA target wedges). This is probably going to be my summertime uniform.
And i'm finally playing with my new camera from my boyfriend :-)Thanks Babe!!

Straight Lines

I wear stripes alot! My favorite striped combo till date, is wearing it with this electric blue skirt, plus the skirt has pockets. LOVE! For something a litte different, i've worn my peachy platforms. Just to add a different twist of color.

Enchanted

This past few days, the weather....gorgeous. This outfit is from Friday, right as it was starting to warm up. I'm incredibly over layered, as i hate being cold, so i like to err on the side of too much.
Outfit-wise, i wanted to play with colors and patterns a little bit, so i skipped the expected all-black sweater and paired the patterned gray/black/white one with my striped dress and gray anorak. My pink pashmina and bag add my ever present pop of color.I love being in this striped dress, just cause its so versatile...go here and here to see how i've worn it in the past.
This weekend was simple and easy and while I would love to be able to say that i got a lot of things accomplished this weekend, in all honesty, i didn't. I spent the weekend catching up on sleep and playing outside in the gorgeous weather. I will resume my usual weekend antics next weekend.
Anyway, here's to a fantastic week to us all.

Rainy Days Ahead, Boots Required: Day 1

It looks like its going to be a wet week in Georgia, which means lots of rain and wetness and gloomy weather. So i have to find ways to stay dry,and comfortable without boring myself to sleep. For the first day, i'm rocking a girly anorak jacket to a bit of glamour to regular raingear, and motorcycle boots from Target And colorful Umbrella**(yes, the colorful umbrella is important, amidst the see of black and navy blue ones, its nice to see a little color)**. The striped dress is a staple because put it on and boom!! done dressing.Happy Monday Folks, and for my Georgians, stay dry and safe on those roads...driving in Atlanta gets even more ridiculous when you add water.








Day 1 of the wetness: I'm wearing a target anorak jacket and boots, newport news striped dress and random umbrella i found at home.

Pattern-Mixing

It started pouring HARD as we were taking pics today. It felt like each time the flash went off, there was a thunderous boom of thunder and lightning to match it.
But not even drenching rain could deter my enthusiasm in wearing this gorgeous colorful skirt. The pics do the skirt no justice, plus due to dwindling light and the pelting raindrops, we had to cut the shoot short. I'm also wearing another dress as a top. You may recognize the top as a dress and as a top from these posts.
*pay no attention to the mischievous glimmer in my eyes, that's how i react to thunder..some get scared, i get excited*

Stripe Master

Its stripes galore. Yesterday, i wore a striped shirt, today a striped dress. I love this dress. Last time i wore it, it was as a shirt, but i decided to show off the dress in its entirety today. And Yay for new shoes, check my footwork.

Saturday- Casual Horizontal

I’m still recuperating from having too much fun from last night. Therefore, comfort was the name of the game today.
This is what i wore:

Horizontal Stripes

I wish i'd accessorized more today, to kinda tie my look together, but i was running late, and so this is what i ended up w/. I'd been looking for a way different way to wear this shirt, i cut the collar off, so now its an off-the-shoulder top and i'm pretty pleased with the turn out. I wore the black bomber jacket, which worked as a casual cover up for work . i've taken to altering some of my clothes that i'd previously given up on; trying to see if i can salvage some items. This is what i wore:
