Easter.

I knew that from the moment i saw this dress, way back in october, that it was going to be my Easter dress. I've worn it once before due to my impatience because I didn't want to wait till April to finally wear this dress. You guys know i'm a big fan of the 50's silhouette, so anything that allows me to channel that is gold in my book.

It's so hard to say Goodbye

This is the outfit i wore for my very last day at my job. *sigh* Some of my co-workers had become an extended family to me. I'm going to miss seeing them daily. I figured i'd go out with a dressy bang, so instead of donning jeans which is standard weekend wear; i wore a dress and my MK platform sandals. And sashayed out of the office the same way i sashayed in on my very first day there, lol. Albeit, i was a little sad the second sashay around.

Its crazy how we meet people that end up changing us in the most unexpected ways. I never expected to meet some of the people i did, or find the great friendships that i was fortunate to be a part of. But I'm thankful for the chance to learn a little something about relationships, life and myself.
I wonder what else 2010 has in store.

Another Rainy Day

It pretty much sums my feelings for what i wish for on rainy days.

But being a working girl doesn't allow me the luxury of laying around in my blankets reading and watching tv on rainy days. So i did the next best thing and overdressed for work.
My dress is my most recent and final purchase of 2009.It has such an feminine shape and vibrant floral print that made me feel lovely all day.Ok, I'm gonna give these boots a rest sometime soon. Honest.

Finals

Gahh!! Its nearing the end of the semester, so exams are aplenty! Had a final exam at the bright and early hour of 8am this morning. I opted for one of my favorite floral dresses and layered it with a longsleeved top and a knit sweater that isn't pictured. And wore the ankle boots that i seem to be living in this season.

Nothing to Worry About

I think we all enjoy life a little more if we try not to sweat the small stuff. And i Really need to practice what i preach as most of the time i'm a first class worrier. I'm trying to worry less, case in point, my dress. It bothered me that the dress looks unfinished as i never hemmed it after i chopped off 1/4 of it. It'll get done one of these days, but for now, i'm just going to continue to enjoy the crispness in the air, and the swishyness of this dress.

Revamped

I celebrated a huge first today. This is actually the first time I've cut a dress. I cut this dress to its current length from its original ankle length. I'd never cut a dress/skirt for fear i'll mess it up as i can't sew that well with a machine(hemming by hand takes so long...*i'm a bit impatient*).But i took a chance with this dress because i like the fun print and easy fabric and i really wanted to wear it. And i LOVE how it turned out. The ends are a bit crooked, but i think i can hem it later. I spent the day with my younger sister, and I wore the dress out for a test run with my second pair of new gladiator sandals. I went downtown to school to get some books, then stopped at Atlantic Station for lunch. Good times in fun dresses! TGIF
