I don't wear this shirtdress enough, even though i love how it looks on me when i finally get a chance to put it on. Easy enough to run errands comfortably and grab sunday brunch with some of my favorite girls(my mom and sister).

I love celebrating. I feel like a lot of people take their lives for granted, and even worse they take the people who enrich their lives for granted. I strive to always make time to celebrate my friends and my family. Which is why I didn’t hesitate to spend my day celebrating with the Manfriend. We never got a chance to celebrate the anniversary of our 2nd year of being together because it falls during the hectic holiday season. At the Manfriend’s urging of, “better late than never”, we donned our bests and did just that.
Although we didn’t go out (it was so cold ), I decided to dress up anyway. I channeled the simple glamour of Katherine Hepburn ‘s almost slip-like dress, by wearing a vintage night gown as a dress (ensuring comfort) and tucked a flower in my hair. The Manfriend was none the wiser of my little secret(till I told him).

What I wore to class:
Cardi ( F21), Shirtdress (Dots) Tights (F21) Boots (Chinese Laundry)

“Dress” (Vintage), Flower Pin (Target)

I wore this to work on friday. After the merriment of Christmas day, the last thing i wanted to do was go to work on Friday, so the next best thing was this button down shirtdress and cardi. It was like being in my favorite pajamas and comfy sweater.

What i wore:
Sweater (F21)
Shirtdress (Target)
Jeans(Macys)
Boots(Payless)
Bag(Target)

Yesterday was also my sister's birthday, and since i couldn't get off work to spend the day w/ her, i took her to a party being hosted by a friend. Before we went to dance the night away, we stopped for a pre-dance meal at IHOP. After scarfing down Chocolate Pancakes (Chocoholics Unite!!!), we headed over to the party were we proceeded to dance the night away...at least till 4, because some of us have work in the morning.

My 100th Post!!
I wish i had something a bit more special planned but since i donot, i just want to thank all the lovely readers who stop by and a special thanks to those who comment. Thank you awesome ladies for making me feel welcome in the blogging community....

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming :-P

Today was not only very cold, but the wind chill factor was very high! Those two together make for a very cold day that's also windy. I got to school and realized that I'd missed my usual shuttle and had to stand longer than usual at the shuttle stop this morning. So, after a quick pep talk to myself before i braved the cold,i marched up to the shuttle stop, and claimed my place in line... in my battle stance.
Why in my battle stance you ask? Because getting on the shuttle is survival of the fittest! The weak and the slow don't survive (or don't get a seat on the shuttle). And i knew i had to survive ( i didn't want to be late to class and i wanted to have a place to sit on the shuttle).
So as i stood there, battle stance and even battle face on, a girl i don't know says to me, " Its so cold out here, but you look so warm " I laughed so hard and then told her that she was right because i was actually so layered up that the coolness of the morning did not have too big an effect on me. I think she was trying to distract me and take my place in line....Amateurs..
This is what i wore:
Scarf (Target )
Coat (F21)
Sweater(F21)
Dress( Macys)
Tights once again layered (Target)

If anyone was wondering how belt week was going, so far so good. Today went pretty well, I'm getting ready to start my x-mas shopping list, who to shop for and what to shop for, the works...lol. I try to plan for things; for the most part. We'll see how that works out. So since the day started off in the 50's, i carried a sweater, and then only needed it for my brief walk to my car(it later warmed up to the 80's). The shirt is actually my shirtdress, tucked into my skirt and belted. This is what is wore:
Shirtdress(Macys)
Skirt (Express)
Sandals(DSW)
Sweater (F21)
Belt (Thrifted)
Bag aka the cutie pie bag (Rampage)

*Sorry about the weird spotting...

Thursdays! Gotta love'em. My busiest days, however, its always filled with some lovely surprises.. So today, the Manfriend, decided to spend his day off shadowing me. It was loads of fun. We went to my classes, then went to a European Cafe for lunch. So today, as i do on most thursdays, i dressed for comfort and because i knew the Manfriend was tagging along. I wore this blue shirtdress that i know he likes, and wore pants underneath, because for some strange reason, i'm still uncomfortable with wearing tights. The dress came w/ a python print blue belt, but i took it out and put in my own gold skinny belt, add gold shoes and random purple scarf w/ gold accents and BAM! gold accents..lol. Here's what i wore:
Blue Shirtdress(Dots)
Skinny Jeans(Forever 21)
Gold Flats( Abecrombie from Payless)
New Black Bag w/ Studs (My mom's)
Skinny Gold Belt (Thrifted)
Scarf (thrifted)

I ended changing to my black flats because the gold ones are new and not as comfortable for the loads of walking i did.
