This past few days, the weather....gorgeous. This outfit is from Friday, right as it was starting to warm up. I'm incredibly over layered, as i hate being cold, so i like to err on the side of too much.
Outfit-wise, i wanted to play with colors and patterns a little bit, so i skipped the expected all-black sweater and paired the patterned gray/black/white one with my striped dress and gray anorak. My pink pashmina and bag add my ever present pop of color.I love being in this striped dress, just cause its so versatile...go here and here to see how i've worn it in the past.
This weekend was simple and easy and while I would love to be able to say that i got a lot of things accomplished this weekend, in all honesty, i didn't. I spent the weekend catching up on sleep and playing outside in the gorgeous weather. I will resume my usual weekend antics next weekend.
Anyway, here's to a fantastic week to us all.
Happy Monday!!

I've had this skirt for ages and i wear it often enough but i realized that it somehow, never got posted on the blog. Even though the skirt is mostly navy, i've paired it with a black AA dress that i got before my shopping hiatus.
I suddenly have all this time before work( with school being out) that i don't even know what to do with myself now. Which why i had time to untangle the mass of necklaces around my neck which i borrowed *cough stole* from my sister this morning.
Also... i absolutely love thigh/knee highs..

I kept it simple since i spent most of the day in the library, studying for one of my accounting classes in one the most comfortable and easy dresses i own. This dress invokes images of a 70s disco diva, dancing the night away at some groovy party. Yes i'm a certified cornball.lol.Maybe sometime soon i'll do this dress its proper justice and do just that. Glam it up and go dancing.

This is how i dress to go bike riding. It takes a special skill to pedal uphill in 4inchers but its one of my many talents...lol.
I've found my lbd that every woman is supposed to have, and mine happens to be velvet. A little confession: I didn't care for velvet until i found the dress. I'm still not a velvet lover, but i LOVE this dress.

It started pouring HARD as we were taking pics today. It felt like each time the flash went off, there was a thunderous boom of thunder and lightning to match it.
But not even drenching rain could deter my enthusiasm in wearing this gorgeous colorful skirt. The pics do the skirt no justice, plus due to dwindling light and the pelting raindrops, we had to cut the shoot short. I'm also wearing another dress as a top. You may recognize the top as a dress and as a top from these posts.
*pay no attention to the mischievous glimmer in my eyes, that's how i react to thunder..some get scared, i get excited*

Happy Friday!
The one good thing about having sisters, is having more than one closet to look into for clothes. My sister and i had a dress swap, and i ended up with this gorgeous anthro dress and she ended up with one of mine. That being said, that's the only good thing about having sisters..i joke.
I do have a serious question to pose and i'd appreciate as much input as possible.I'm a junior in college, and i'm having doubts about my major..is this normal? Please someone tell me i'm not crazy. Thanks in advance.

My crazy May schedule of 8am classes and then dashing off to work is winding down and i couldn't be happier. It was absolutely liberating to sleep past 6am this morning, and i even went to the park with the Manfriend before heading to work. The flowers are in bloom, songs of nature fill the air, and i fit right in with this really colorful floral jacket.

I 've gone so long without wearing navy, and now it seems like for the past few days, most of my outfits consist of it in some way. Today, I'm wearing black and navy, so its almost an all-black monday ensemble, but not quite. I've wanted to try the black-navy blue combination for a while but i was kind of hesitant at first because black and navy are such dark hues especially when worn together. But with the red highlights, i like how it turned out.

I spent last night working on a paper for my business law class, so this morning's outfit had to come together with ease in order for me to make it to my 8am class on time. I'm wearing the dress from this post, with one of my favorite springy skirts with tights because its still freezing in the mornings. I kinda get a bit excited whenever i discover different ways to wear my clothes.

I love art. I'm not choosy with the art i like. I just go with the flow and go with whatever speaks to me. The Manfriend and I decided to explore the art galleries in and around the Atlanta area. We spent most of the day at the High Museum, because neither of us had seen the Chinese Terracotta Army(very fascinating stuff). As well as shop for a new laptop for me (my old one crashed on me after dedicatedly served me for 5yrs). I'm probably a little over-dressed to be museum hopping in the daytime as well as laptop shopping, but that's nothing new. I'like to err on the side of being over dressed than under. Plus, i didn't feel like waiting for "date night" to pull out this little black dress.

The sun was nowhere to be found today and in its stead was gloomy rainfall and chilly temperatures. It wasn't the fun kind of wet weather that inspires puddle jumping and makeout sessions in the rain. Nope. This was the "jump back into bed and get cozy till the weather gets nicer" kind of weather. There was fog and the color seemed to be been drained out of nature's usual splendor. I'm a strong believer of the school of thought: when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. Or lemon pie. Or lemon bread. Or lemontinis. Or lemon smoothies. Or anything that can be made using lemons(i wonder what other eatables can be made with lemons). So i made lemon smoothies and added my own splashes of color.

Rainy days always make me want to stay at home, where its warm and dry, curled up reading a book or catching up on movies and favorite shows while eating chocolate ice cream. But since i have to go to school and work today, the next best thing was to throw on a pair of boots and a dress, and head out to splash about in the rain. On rainy days, boots are absolutely essential for me because i loathe getting my feet wet (when i'm not @ the beach).
This is what i wore:
Coat ( Urban Behaviour )
Sweater (Goodys)
Black Dress (H&M)
Boots (American Eagle)
Gold Wing Belt ( Thrifted)
Bag (Target)

I was dressed for a picnic, or a walk in the park, or gallivanting thru some street market on this lovely Saturday morning, instead, I headed to work. I would complain about having to get up to go to work on a Saturday morning, however, in our current economy’s state, its best to count your blessings because things could be much, much worse. But I digress. I’m feeling very carefree today, maybe its the fun print of this dress. This dress= the definition of comfortable. My sweets brought me lunch today while I was @ work and was ended up being my photographer for the day. <3 href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPK_25A0FIwguD9EpfPVSdSfbb49k-kbkPZSb7aK1aA8Le76OPf-Bub2CAgAP05luhiSTOm9o7U5qzVslOUIgs8feKNfa6Tbk5IidIxzVL_YqneONyFkqN0u6HjAO2vDMA03i9CyqOXRIq/s1600-h/DSC02938.JPG">
