I probably have no need to repeat that i love clothes that can multitask. I figured my mustard colored dress was the perfect item to break up the basic black and white combo i started off with. You can go here to see the dress in its entirety. I love the way the ruffles sit on the cardi...just right.

I kept it simple since i spent most of the day in the library, studying for one of my accounting classes in one the most comfortable and easy dresses i own. This dress invokes images of a 70s disco diva, dancing the night away at some groovy party. Yes i'm a certified cornball.lol.Maybe sometime soon i'll do this dress its proper justice and do just that. Glam it up and go dancing.

This may be my goodbye summer outfit. With the arrival of cooler weather, i'll have to dig out my sweaters, jackets, pants and tights. Ah tights, i'm going to miss exposing my bare legs and not having to drape them in tights or pants. However, don't be fooled, i'm excited for fall and some cooler weather.

This is an older outfit that i didn't get a chance to post. I'm in my fave sneakers and tutu-skirt and i spent the whole day at school. The upside, the library doesn't get crowded so whenever i was out of sight, i twirled. Blame it on the skirt. Seriously

I walked past this purple tuxedo styled shirt 4 times before finally picking it up. As always, the color grabbed my attention. That and the fact that this shirt had so much drama going on. From the eye-catching color, to the unusually billowy sleeves, to the tuxedo styled pleats. I couldn't resist. I kept the rest of the outfit relatively simple, then threw in the dark green belt..why? idk, it makes sense to me though.

Well kind of... My actual blogversary was sometime in August, but being that i kind of forgot, i'll recognize it today. Ahem.
I can't believe its been a year since i started blogging.I love this blog so much. I've learned so much and i am grateful for each and every reader. Thank you guys for all your encouraging words and even you lurkers, thanks as well.
I figured, i'd repeat a favorite outfit, last worn in my earlier days as a blogger, in commemoration of my blog-versary.

Happy Labor Day!

My days off are my favorite days of the week...i get to hang w/ my friends and my family, do schoolwork and just be a regular 21-year old. Sometimes i feel like life is passing me by because i work so much. I'm working on getting a better grasp on balancing work, school, family and a social life.
For school today, i chose to keep it super simple with a fail-safe button-down(LOVE!) and a scarf because it was kinda cool in the morning and jeans. Paired it with my favorite and pretty much only pair of sneakers (apart from running shoes) that i own.

It seemed like fall temps appeared almost overnight. I brought out this shrug that i've been aching to wear since May.And pants, i had to put my legs away for work and these anthro pants are soooo comfortable. Seriously, it was like being in work appropriate sweatpants.I'm excited for fall now.

I've been in love with sequins for as long as i can remember. Can't explain it, shiny things make me happy. I've had this sequined skirt for a while, but never showcased the sequined part. And i'm really enjoying playing around with this vest. The possibilities seem endless..

This is what i wore to the movies with my sisters. Simple but seemingly overdone because of the heels but i dig it. I did take along a giant fleece to wrap myself in as i tend to freeze in theaters. I'm wearing a skirt that i first wore as a top a few days ago.

It was a little dreary this weekend. Lots of rainfall and wetness and no sun. On rainy days, i usually add large doses of color to my outfits and today was no different. The top was a recent find from Target, i saw it in blue as well but i picked this orange one because oddly,i don't think i have orange in my closet.
By the way, i saw the new movie by Quentin Tarantino, Inglorious Bastards and it was pretty good.

I've been a bit absent, forgivie me, hecticness abounds! But, because sharing is caring, i'm sharing the newest inspiration that left me speechless at first glance.

Vlisco. They have done it again! Done what you ask? Well apart from blow my mind, they have launched a new line of beautiful and eye-catching fabrics. And then combined with their designers who bring the already vivacious fabrics to life, one word comes to my mind : Wow!

Enjoy!

I wrote off k-mart a while back for some reason or another...probably because in high school, it was one of those places that i was "too cool" to shop at. Plus with the allure of teen "boutiques" like f21 and h&m, K-mart just seemed to pale in comparison. The manfriend bought me this pretty top, surprisingly, from k-mart(thanks darl) which means, i'll have to check them out every once in a while.Maybe add it to my routine shopping drivebys..
Other exciting news: i'm learning to work a room and getting over my networking shyness...because as an accounting major," u just gotta let that shyness go"...good stuff

I got this skirt a few weeks ago from target from the tracy feith line. Its ridiculously bright but i like it. And it has pockets....and we all know that i love skirts/dresses with pockets. I've worn it a few times, but this is the first time i'm putting it on the blog. The top i believe i've had in my closet for almost 2 years but never wore. Which means its on its way out of my closet because i like having pieces that i love to wear...and not seeing the light of day for 2 years is not love.

Occasionally, i'll go back and look thru my beginning days as a blogger...its funny stuff. My style has changed a bit, but in many ways has remained the same. I'm a bit more creative now, and a bit riskier with my wardrobe choices.i think this was the very first outfit i put posted. Be gentle...lol

As you can see, i was very much a matchy-matchy type of chick(a part of me still is).
