I would probably keep it simple with a accessorizing a shabby apple dress. I would pair it with a nude heel ( and by nude I mean a chocolate brown shoe that has about the same colouring as my skin), and pearl studs,a simple necklace, and a ring. I feel like these dresses should to be the main attraction of any outfit. =)
oops.. forgot to mention my favourite dress is sheep's meadow!
i love the skyscraper collection, especially the boss and the managing director dresses. i'm also in love with 1943 collection - the jitterbug, lindy hop and bette d. dresses in particular.
something about me - i'm a social worker by trade, empathizer by nature and a writer out of necessity.
i retweeted the contest announcement and you can follow me @ashaknows.
oh, i forgot how i'd style the dresses. hmmm, i think i'd use similar accessories showcased in the pictures but with a funky, modern twist, like maybe an african print belt, brightly colored clutches, maybe even gloves and a spectator if i'm brunching with the ladies.
something bout me = im a cake lover , i love cake so much , i have to have any sort of cake at least 4 times a week or else i have withdraw symptoms :( loooool

1. Right now, my favorite thing to do is write. It seems my muse is back, and I've just found all these stories I began and set aside for one reason or another. And they're good!
2. I Lurve the Shabby Apple VP dress;I'd pair it with my Cole Haan Tivona slingbacks and gold chandelier earrings for a dinner out with DH. But for day, it'd look smashing with a pair of almond-toe pumps and my tank watch.

1) Hi :) I am also African (born in Eritrea) and I've been following your diary for about 5 months now and you're a true inspiration. Hmm let's see.. I love dresses from the fifties, like the ones with the poodle skirts, and floral dresses, like the ones Elaine wore in the show "Seinfeld" (favorite show). Summer is my favorite season wardrobe-wise because it gives you a lot of leeway with your style .
2) I would wear it different ways. I might just wear a belt around it and some nice wedges, in teh fall i might pair some leggings or stockings with a denim or leather jacket. When I don't want to wear heels, I nmight just put on some Keds or maybe one of my favorite pairs of Converse. I could wear this dress to my aunt's wedding with nicely done hair and some nude heels,... oh the possibilities ;)

Something about me...I hated dresses...my mom made me wear a peach dress to church when I was 9 and that was the absolute last time I wore a dress, until I got to college. While in college I bought a dress, my friends convinced me to get a dress to wear to a formal we were attending...and I never looked back! 6 years later, I'd rather wear a dress or skirt ANYDAY!!!

Hi. My name is Cinnamon and I love going to garage sales, resale shops and bargain shopping. My favorite thing about summer is the hot weather and being in the water at the beach or anywhere I can
swim! I am somewhat obssesed with food as well as bargain shopping. So I would design my dress with maybe 3scoop icecream cones, cherries, or lemons since I love the color yellow, lol. I am linking
this contest on my facebook page and my email address is below but without the spaces.

I hope I win since I have never one anything except a
jellybean counting contest in kindergarden. Jellybeans would also look pretty cute too on a dress, lol! Sorry for all the comments but I am on my mobile which makes it a pain to comment.
My favorite thing to do is improv comedy! Doesn't hold up well with style, though, lol... kind of hard to get physical in scenes with a bunch of layers and dangly jewelry ;)

I would style The Boss dress with vertical black-and-white striped tights, gorgeous red patent heels and a stacked pearl bracelet.
