Jump for Joy

Ladies and Gentlemen, lend me your ears, I have an announcement to make. Some of you may remember that in one of my previous posts, i confessed that i have a fear of doing things in public. That can range from public speaking, to public dancing (i was too scared to go on stage and dance at the Ladysmith Black Mambazo Concert). Well i conquered it. I danced. In public. At school. In front of tons of people.
This whole week was Africa Students Assoc. week, and i went to watch the celebrations. But when the music started playing, i couldn't help but start moving, which is nothing new because not many people can stay still when african music plays. My sister urged me to go and join the throng of dancers in the middle, and i briefly considered it, but i felt that familiar feeling of fear grip me,starting in my stomach and working its way up to tighten my throat. So i opened my mouth to decline to my sister when i was seized by this thought: You still regret the LBM Concert, and vowed never to backdown if asked to dance or speak in public. And so without further consideration, i quickly walked into the front and joined the dancers before i lost my quick found courage. Surprisingly, when i got up there, all fears subsided and i really, Really enjoyed my self. Hence my joyous jump :-)
