I know winter just arrived, but i find myself already missing spring and summer days when i can spend my days in dresses and walk outside without a jacket. So i've started to prepare my inspiration file with designers whose spring looks i like.

This are some of my favorite pieces by African designer Duro Olowu. His spring 2009 collection is colorful and appeals to the avid color mixer in me. He mixes prints and colors beautifully, and there's something interesting about each ensemble that he's put together. He manages to combine unusual pieces and accesories like tribal pieces, luxe brocades and even glittery eye brooches to create visually appealing creations.

I would wear ANY of these pieces. However, since my level of affluence is not on the level where i can drop that much cash on clothing, i'll just have to keep dreaming. So until i get to that level, or win the lottery, i'm will be hunting for the looks i like (for less) for spring.

I would love to get your input on the creations....

Today is one of those days that for no good reason, i have nothing interesting to say. Maybe it's because i was thrown off my usual routine, or because i woke up too early. The only thing worth mentioning is that i've jumped back on the exercise bandwagon. It'll be interesting to see how long it lasts. I worked out yesterday, walked for 10mins and ran for 1omins. After months of simply walking to my car or to my classes, my legs cried for ages.
This is what i wore:
Shirt (Urban Behavior)
Waistcoat (Macys)
Pants( Express)
Ankle Boots (Go Jane)

This was the outfit i wore to church, very casual for my usual taste. I decided to keep the outfit on for the art show simply because my father saw me and said, "You look nice" and being the corny daddy's girl that i am, i didn't change outfits like i originally intended. So for the show, i persuaded the Manfriend to come with me, even though it was freezing outside, and like the darling that he is, he came along.
This is what i wore:
Hat (H&M)
Blazer (Thrifted)
Sweater (F21)
Scarf (Thrifted)
Jeans (Macys)
Boots (GoJane)

Pictures from the Show

Look very closely at the pictures of the feast below!
All the foods are made of rocks. I can't imagine how much
time and effort was needed to look for these "food-like" rocks
to create this.

It was very cold on Saturday. So as usual, the attire i deemed appropriate for the day's cold weather was a mini dress. And tights, layered of course. And knee high boots. Thank goodness i spent most of the day inside.
This is what i wore:
Dress (Urban Behavior)
Tights (Target)
Sweater (F21)

Finals are finally over, and the holidays are here...i say let the partying begin! The first party up... my company's X-mas Luncheon this afternoon.
I did find adventure yesterday. As well as these lovelies on my feet. They looked a bit intimidating at first, but i love everything about them now... i can't wait to mix them up w/ dresses and anything else i can come up with. Plus, i have to say, they're pretty comfortable. I will give the final verdict after tonight. I'll be testing them as i dance the night (and stress) away! What i wore:
Scarf (Target)
Coat (F21)
Jeans (F21)
T-shirt (Target)
Shoes (Bakers)

Its still raining today. Which is good thing because Ga still needs all the rain it can get. And i wasn't bothered because i had my trusty boots to keep me safe from puddles. I have the day off work today, which accounts for my miniskirt peeking out from my large and cozy sweater. I'm off to find adventure!!
Jacket (F21)
Sweater (Thrifted)
Mini Skirt (F21)
Tights (Target)
Boots(Chinese Laundry)

Rainy days always make me want to stay at home, where its warm and dry, curled up reading a book or catching up on movies and favorite shows while eating chocolate ice cream. But since i have to go to school and work today, the next best thing was to throw on a pair of boots and a dress, and head out to splash about in the rain. On rainy days, boots are absolutely essential for me because i loathe getting my feet wet (when i'm not @ the beach).
This is what i wore:
Coat ( Urban Behaviour )
Sweater (Goodys)
Black Dress (H&M)
Boots (American Eagle)
Gold Wing Belt ( Thrifted)
Bag (Target)

When I was a little girl of about 8 years old, I wanted to a little boy. Not for any serious reasons, but for the simple fact that boys got to have more fun. While I would have to wear dresses and sit primly on the side and play cook(so that my dress didn’t get dirty) , my male cousins got to run around and climb things and “just be boys”.

As I got older , I became more convinced that my life would be much, much easier if I was a boy. My parents would not worry as much about me, therefore allowing me more privileges than is normally allowed to female teens. Now I’m no longer a teen…(hehe I’m in my 20s now) and in my matured wisdom, I have come to accept and love the fact that I am a girl..a young lady now.

While it is a bit more difficult for women due to the slow acceleration of gender equality in the world, many women are out there proving that we(women) can do it just as well as men can. And, we’re doing it while looking absolutely Fabulous!

So with all that being said, I was decided to do menswear today. I do wish I had a pair of oxford pumps to really complete this look ...I think I’m the only girl that still doesn’t have a pair.
This is what I wore:
Blazer (Vintage)
White shirt (Macys)
Black Pants (Papaya)
Shoes (BCBG Girls)

Happy Monday Everyone!
I hope everyone had a relaxing weekend. After my very hectic week that ended with my Accounting And CIS Final Exams (:-o) .Thankfully, i was able to relax for the rest of the day and Sunday too. Although i have my last exam this upcoming thursday, i 've put off studying for it for one day (Sunday) and it was nice to just chill and not have to open a school book. So instead, I spent my Sunday catching up my neglected reading. Anyone a fan of the Warrior Heir Series?Because i'm reading the last book of the series, The Dragon Heir (i'm kinda sad that its the last one) and i love it. Its got everything: adventure, mystery, romance, action and in to me, all that in one book=awesome!
Today's outfit, pays a tribute to Maggie Gyllenhall in The Secetary, i think so anyway. My boyfriend seems to think i look kind of like an air hostess. Feel free to cast your vote...
This is what i wore:
Dress (Thrifted)
Tights (Chinese Laundry)
Boots (Payless)
Bangle, Belt and Earrings (F21)

After being up till 3am this morning, i tried to stay in bed as long as possible. I finally jumped out of bed, with minimum time to spare, grabbed the closest clean items in my closet and ran out of my house. I had a morning study session, my final accounting class for the semester and work. Sad to say but i'm running on fumes and these chunky baubles are the best i could come up with.
Knit Sweater ("borrowed" from my mom)
White Shirt( F21)
Jeans (MaxRAve)
Brown Boots (Payless)

I have a love-hate relationship with blazers. I discovered them in the 8th grade when my mother urged me to wear one for my middle school graduation. I began to hate them because while the other 8th grade girls got to wear full prom regalia to the graduation ceremony, i was clad in blazer and pants. Unbeknownst to me, my mother was trying to prepare me to be different and to embrace that difference.

So how does this relate to the fact that i'm wearing a completely sequined shirt and the sun is still shining? I'll tell you.

No, i did not just skulk home from a party. However, after seeing the disco-ball like effect the shirt and the sun created in my car, i 'm definitely in a party mood.

I'm wearing this shirt because sequins make me smile. I know, the general consensus about them was to leave them in the 80's due to the many cheesy outfits that sequins have inspired. However, i feel with simple combinations like the simple blazer and the black pants, i should be able to get away with wearing a sequined shirt. In the daytime.

What i wore:
Black Blazer (Anne Klein II)
Sequin Top (Vintage)
Black Pants ( Macys)
Ankle Booties(Shoe Land)
