Black, Red, White and Blue Again

Another day of rainfall ALL DAY. Another day of red, white, black and blue. I promise, this is not a planned theme.lol. The ankle boots...i put them on, on a whim, i actually had on knee length flat boots. Then, at the last minute i changed to these ankle boots for a edgier touch to the outfit.
Black 3/4 Sleeved Jacket (Macys)
Floral Blouse (Ross)
Blue Skirt (TJ Maxx)
Black Boots( Shoe Land)
Dark Red Express Bag (Thrifted)

You always look cute, but this outfit doesn't really do it for me. The skirt feels very 1992 to me (gah, I'm old), and the blouse would be better tailored. The ankle boots aren't flattering your legs with the skirt.

I could see the top and boots with a skinny jean, but not with this skirt.

You look great from the waist up! :)

Lol. Thanks Sheila. I really like the skirt though, its one of those items that i'm not sure about. I 'll work on a better use for the skirt, I refuse to give it up! lol

I associate that hem (we called them "carwash" skirts because they look like those bits in a car wash) with that era really strongly.

I think it would look good with really simple pieces, like, feature the skirt (because the colour is so dominant) as the main item. I would do it with knee-high black boots, and a simple black top (even a turtleneck would work), with a statement necklace and then pop it with the red bag.
