Tales of A Shiny Skirt

I was really excited when i bought this skirt. Its shiny metallic gray color seemed like the perfect addition to my closet. However, in actuality(which i always forget), this skirt rumples quickly and never seems to sit properly on my waist. When i tried it on at the store, it fit like a high-waisted dream, but now, it keeps sliding down and looking goofy. I, of course, forgot about this when i was getting dressed (in a hurry) this morning, and didn't realize the skirt's antics until i'd left my house.
So i was forced to lower the sitting place of the skirt, hence the off kilter appearance of the skirt. I think i will have to do some sort of altering to this skirt in order to keep it. But most likely i'll have to give it away. B-( Feel free to offer tips
This is what i wore:
Black Shirt (Macys)
Skirt (F21)
Tights (Target)
Heels -nine west ( Ross)

Ugh, I have experienced the satin crumple so many times! But I must say, I don't think I would have noticed the wrinkles if you hadn't mentioned them. Maybe it's because it seems to fit you really nicely -- no frump in sight (unlike when my skirts crease, and I look like an unwanted shopping bag!)

Also, thank you so much for the sweet comment! Totally linked you. :)

Oh, I hate when that happens. There isn't anything you can do about it but learn from it and move on. I always test fabrics before I buy for wrinkling (crumple some of the fabric in your fist, then check to see how bad it is - that's pretty close to what your butt or lap will look like from wearing it). Give it away or consign it, and look for a non-wrinkly one to replace it.

You look awesome, though!

Ah yes, the siren song of the dressing room fit...only to find out that it's not all that when you actually wear the garment in real life. No matter how careful I try to be when trying stuff on sometimes you just can't tell how a piece of clothing is going to wear. Sheila had a good rec about testing the fabric (filing that in my memory bank now).

I also try wearing a new piece of clothing around the house for a couple hours before I "de-tag" it and call it mine.

But anyway -- you still looked totally cute ;)

Even with all the skirt drama, you look great. I have shoes in that color too and I LOVE them :) That jacket is super hot too!
